As an early follower of the Pilates method of exercise, I used to take lessons from a young woman who accepted private clients in a studio in the District of Columbia. When she decided to move to the West Coast, she compiled for me a list of other qualified Pilates instructors who could take over my program. Kelly Evans Bradley’s name caught my attention, as among her credentials was a graduate degree in physical therapy. Mindful of my sports-related injuries, I felt that Kelly would bring expertise to handling my particular case.
My judgment about Kelly was prescient. Now in her fifth year as my Pilates teacher, she has been outstanding. Especially noteworthy is that, during this period, she has taken every opportunity to hone her skills, and to learn new ones, so that in addition to being a physical therapist, she has received advance certification in gyrotonics, yoga, therapeut ic massage, and nutrition. Thus, she is trained in virtually every aspect of the new field of “wellness,” in which she never misses a chance to indoctrinate her clients.
During my twice-weekly sessions with Kelly, she leads me through exercises on both Pilates and gyrotonics equipment. This has worked out well for my needs, resulting in significant relief of symptom in all areas. By the end of each week, I take comfort that nearly all the muscle groups in my body have had a thorough workout carefully pre-planned by Kelly, enhancing my level of fitness on a continuing basis. I have also experienced added strength and endurance in my aerobic activities, particularly in my swimming regimen.
Kelly is not only a highly qualified teacher of Pilates and gyrotonics, she is in reality a competent healthcare professional. And because of her patient and caring approach, she is quite popular with her20clients, and in great demand as a speaker and panelist in the field.

Kelly is about to take a brief maternity leave to deliver her second child, in which I wish her the best. I will certainly look forward to her return

Dear Kelly- I just want to thank you for all of the outstanding intervention strategies which you have provided and shared with me over the past several years, including physical therapy, pilates , home exercise programs, and an osteoporosis prevention program. Each program has been adapted to my individual physical needs and each program has been updated and adjusted as my needs changed. You began by helping me regain full motion for my frozen shoulder, which I didn’t think was possible. I now follow up with exercises to retain that flexible motion. Also, when I then broke my wrist, you worked with me and I was able to regain all of that motion. In addition, you gave me strategies and exercises to follow up at home with a home exercise program, which has grown as my needs have grown. Now, I’m working on an osteoporosis prevention program, since my doctor told me I should do some intervention. Throughout all of the deep tissue massages, workouts, new exercises, and development of a home exercise program, your professional expertise and upbeat personality have spurred me on to feel healthier! I’ve strengthened my core and have benefited immensely from working with you. I’m implementing your program, as well as walking daily, and feel much healthier. As a retired teacher, I’m struck with your wonderful teaching style and your ability to create such positive energy, while helping your clients improve their physical health and confidence. Thanks!
