About Bradley Wellness
Bradley Wellness, LLC
Our mission is to help our clients achieve optimal wellness through a comprehensive approach to healthy living that combines nutrition, exercise, and environmentally sustainable lifestyle practices.
Our vision is to empower and educate Americans to be able to proactively manage their health and create a national culture where vibrant wellness is the norm.
Sustainablility Efforts: A Holistic Approach To Healthy Living
Bradley Wellness believes that to achieve total wellness, we need a multi-faceted approach to healthy living that focuses on what we eat and drink, how we condition our physical bodies, and the quality of our surrounding environment. We provide tools, education, and guidance that help our clients do what’s best for their bodies while also helping to minimize their impact on the planet. Because food is such an important part of achieving total wellness and has the ability to positively or negatively impact the environment, we have developed a set of core nutrition and health values:
Buy local. We teach our clients about the importance of buying locally grown and produced food. We take our clients on grocery store tours and show them where the locally grown and produced foods are. We provide our clients with local resources including farmer's market locations and community supported agriculture groups from which they can purchase these foods. We take our clients to the local markets and introduce them to the farmers and producers so they can meet the people who actually grow and produce their food.
Buy organic. We educate our clients about the importance of buying organically produced foods. Conventional foods are filled with pesticides, herbicides, antibiotics and many other chemicals that we do not want in our bodies. These toxins negatively effect our health and wellness. We suggest that our clients eat and buy primarily organic foods. We educate our clients on the foods that are the most contaminated and the least contaminated so they know the most important things to buy organic. The foods we use for demonstrations, healthy food preparation classes, workshops and catering events are organic.
Farm to table. We teach our clients to eat whole foods instead of processed and pre-packaged foods. Whole foods are foods found in their natural state. The more processed foods are the less nutrients they will have. Whole foods are nutrient-dense foods that provide you with the fuel you need to be healthy.
Meat-free. We promote and encourage a primarily vegetarian or vegan diet. With that said we still work with all types of clients and help them figure out what is best for them. Each person has their own unique bio-individuality which means each person thrives on different types of diets.
Food = Waste = Food. We teach our clients how to compost food – completing the cycle food and waste back to food again. We also suggest that our clients save many of their fresh produce scraps and use them for juicing.
Walk, bike, run. We encourage our clients to increase their daily exercise by driving less and walking or riding their bikes more. (may want to add a statistic about how much time Americans spend in their car)
Eco-friendly cleaning products. We encourage our clients to clean their homes, especially the kitchen, with eco-friendly cleaning products to prevent food from becoming contaminated with toxic chemicals. When working with clients on our pilates and gyrotonic exercise apparatus we use eco-friendly products to ensure a healthy indoor air quality while our clients are exercising.
Improve Air Quality. We encourage our clients, both individual and corporate clients, to fill their homes and offices with air filtering plants and to use green cleaners to help improve the air quality of their space.
